Facility Condition Surveys

Project: Potable Water Piping Condition Survey
Client: High-rise Condominium Pacific Northwest
Contact: Available upon request

Description:  Coles Consultants, LLC was retained to lead the investigation of a legacy galvanized potable water system for a 25-floor high rise condominium in the Pacific Northwest.  It was desirable to determine the actual existing condition which would drive multiple downstream options, decisions, and contingencies such as; existing material quality, replacement material, replacement techniques, sequencing, design, insurability, and funding schedule.  Coles Consultants applied novel techniques for extracting a valid statistical sample of existing pipes, assessing material degradation, and predicting future limited performance.   Coles Consultant’s methods are widely cited and adopted by multiple industry professionals.
